The Area Women’s Retreat is planned and organized each year by the AWR Planning Team. Below is an excerpt from the Leadership Manual:

I Timothy 3:11

“In the same way, their wives are to be women worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.”

“My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

1 Corinthians 14-40

The Area Women’s Retreat (AWR) is to be held annually one weekend in April at an appropriate venue, chosen by the Planning Team.  AWR is open to all women 16 years old and up.  Notification of the dates, theme, and cost will be conveyed to all women whose names are maintained and updated in a master database, as well as, to churches in the area and/or any expressing interest.

The Planning Team (recommended 8 women minimum) and all leadership positions:  Planning Team, speakers, workshop leaders, and worship leaders; must be believers in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, actively living New Testament principles.  Prior to confirming any leadership, research into character, spiritual development, qualifications, and experience will be completed.
